This equestrian club is an amazing place with first its lovely people who I felt are like friends or family I know for some time. They are friendly, caring and motivating. At the end of my training week I achieved 130% of my goal. I wanted to gain better confidence in riding but I jumped a course including stretch and oxers and had significant improvement with dressage in flat works. So, I had 3 lessons a day for a week, two were for show jumping in the morning and one for dressage in the afternoon. There are plenty of good horses which will definitely be suitable for your riding experience. It's location is in middle of farms enjoying fresh air and quietness away from crowded cities. It has a nice layout of an open jumping arena and two covered ones. We had the chance to try many nice and different Portuguese restaurants around the town. The accommodation was in the town Esposende in front of the beach where you can go for a walk or run along the courniche. I also enjoyed walking around the Centre of the city with its old and authentic Portuguese building. It's a small town and peaceful. Special thanks to Melissa who took care of our daily needs, Anna our show jumping coach, Miguel our calm dressage coach, Bruno and rest of the team. I'm glad that I made it and I would love go again.

A big shout out to Miguel Malheiro!! My friends and I originally had a Costsaver tour of Portugal this summer, which was canceled. Since we already had our plane tickets, we decided to go anyway. I put out an SOS to Travel Portugal Facebook page, and had many tour guides reach out to us. Our group of five older women chose Miguel Malheiro as he was able to accommodate us for our whole trip. He picked us up at the airport in his very comfortable and immaculate Mercedes Benz 7-person van. He gave us tours of Lisbon, Cascais, Cabo da Roca, and Sintra. On our transfer to Porto, he took us to Obidos, Nazare, and Aveiro. He guided us through Porto, which is his hometown, and then through the Douro Valley region for some delicious olive oil and wine tastings. Every restaurant he took us to or recommended for us in Porto was absolutely delicious.. In the wee hours of our last night, he took us to the Porto airport for a final goodbye. Miguel was a fountain of information, had a great sense of humor, and was very patient with us when we went off to explore the various stores.He magically pulled off the perfect balance: always appearing the second we needed him, yet also giving us plenty of space to explore. His prices were about what we had paid for the group tour, but we got so much more. We will never do a group tour of about 30 people now that we have discovered the personalized tours of local guides. We all highly recommend Miguel and would hire him again if we return. We not only had a wonderful time in Portugal, but we all made great friends. Thank you, Miguel!!!
