Quinta da Foz

Quinta da FozWe had a few days in Pinhão so we walked across the Pinhão river via the bridge in the town center to Quinta da Foz. We were fortunate to get into a tasting an hour later. Christiano was a great and knowledgeable host, explaining his family's business while conducting the tasting. A wonderful winery, they mostly make great dry wines along with ports. The tastings are a private event with a limit of ten seats. We learned a lot about Douro valley vineyards and the wine-making processes while enjoying great tasting wines. It was only an 8 minute walk from the main street. They were harvesting so fresh grape waste was outside the building! Definately recommend this.
